I am writing this post dedicated to my dear friends and loved ones, when I read these beautiful words of Mevlana Cel\u00e2leddin R\u00fbm\u00ee, it made me want to make a post on this blog page, which I have neglected for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whenever I surrender to the work of fate,
Calmer than a deer, braver than a lion.
Whenever I take the path of caution,
Pain after pain, chain after chain.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n

When I heard these words, I thought of stock investments \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We all have a voice inside us when we invest: \"Should I take risks or stay in safe harbors?\" Mevlana's words give a great answer to this question. Surrendering to the work of fate actually symbolizes making long-term and conscious investments. In this approach, we learn to remain calm despite market fluctuations and to be courageous in the long run. When investing in stocks, it is necessary to remain calm and decisive, ignoring the short-term ups and downs of the market. This requires being calmer than a deer and braver than a lion.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
But when we err on the side of caution, that is, when we constantly try to avoid short-term risks, then pain comes on top of pain. Because there is always some risk in every investment, and trying to eliminate that risk altogether can lead us to continually miss opportunities. That's chain upon chain: Once we become fearful, we become captive to that fear, and constant caution can lead to more losses in the long run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Remember, when risk can be managed, its existence is not a problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another lesson I learned from Mevlana's words is that we should be conscious and inquisitive when investing, but at the same time, we should know how to surrender a little bit to the work of fate. We should try to make the best decisions using our knowledge and analysis, but we should also accept that the results are not always in our complete control. Sometimes the course of the market, economic developments or unexpected events can upset our plans. Sometimes we make a wilful decision. We are all human beings, not robots. In such situations, it is important to remain calm and not lose heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
